goodbye Jez

just in case you were wondering. i still do draw, everyday pretty much. just not so much in my book but random papers and books. hence the reason why no drawings/paintings have been updated in the blog in last few posts. but anyways, still a ways to catch up to current photos. did you know i have now shaved my head (nothing drastic just to a number two)? now you do

little Leti again

that be Jenifer, Leticia and Claudia (first two are sisters)

and another of Jenifer. taken by Claudia

Carlos, Leti and Jenifers brother. skating better nowadays

Claudia w/ a self portrait

Oriane, Jez, Nancy and Edouard w/ Monsieur Rose, aka Mister Pink. intelligent guy but... a freak. comes out w/ calls for 'no verbs. only nouns and adjectives', 'geronimo' and other random ideas. fun sometimes, mostly annoying. we told him that Oriane was in love w/ him.

another funny t-shirt night. no planning for it as Kenny just decided to start it. so having no funny tee i went and got my scarf. funny enough. a few flashes were fired all around by the multitudes of people.

Bree and Oriane performing on the dance floor.

Oriane, Jez, me and Kenny at Illegal Mezcal. a cool little bar behind Cafe No Sé here in Antigua.

Bree behind the bar, no she doesn't work there, behind her is a barrel of Mezcal made at the bar.

re-enacting the Monsieur Rose love w/ a pair of glasses we found at bar.

Oriane w/ Carlos ponytail as a fringe. in what is known as the classical Oriane pose

Henrik carrying Jez on his last night before leaving Antigua

people who know people

Oriane and I taking the piss out of trance dancers. been our favourite dance move as a duo lately

Lorenzo joins in the dancing. to the right you can see Edouard in his 'classical' pose. exposing nipple.

choreographed work or just magic? it was pure magic i tell you.

some more Antigua, the lake and yes even cricket

this is Carlos, Leticia (Leti) and Jennifer. little local kids that hang around sometimes. their mother sells wares down the road and they spend days together. lately they have been skateboarding a lot on two boards. other day walked by and Carlos was pushing Leti and Jennifer on the bigger board and got the happiest 'hola' from little Jennifer at the front as they rolled by.

Jennifer. this is one of my favourite photos which i have taken in Guatemala

a Garifuna band came to Antigua a while back in February. played Punta music, Garifuna's mostly live on the Caribbean side.

so we went to the lake again for a bit of relaxation and to just get away for a while.

this is Poida the goiter on Jeremes neck. smile

one of days i decided to shave a mo. it was horrible but i wore it for a day

on the saturday the Buddha Bar played the Dark Side of the Rainbow (Pink Floyds 'dark side of the moon' synched up w/ the Wizard of Oz) and it was brilliant. just so many connections. afterwards Jereme and I went to Freedom to laugh at some trance dancers. this was best photo of the bunch. notice the arms out and head back, w/ a visor upside down.

walking the labyrinth back to our hostel from Buddha Bar

view from our hotel. love the hammocks

and the lake as we said our farewells to it.

back into the swing of things on return tio La Antigua

and we have a call for the third umpire, who is looking to give him out

even had a little chucker join in. afterwards he got bored of bowling and bat was to heavy for him so he started throwing the balls into the pool whenever he got a hold of one

some more nights

this is Claudia, a 10 year old local girl who sells some wares like scarfs and necklaces. usually comes in to Reilly's when either Kenny, Tim, Jez or I are working and we giver drinks or sometimes some food. she gave me a necklace and i've bought a scarf off her as well. also gave her a copy of the Little Prince in spanish as a little present.

this is Jonathan, Claudias little brother, who usually only comes on weekends. cool kid who loves to muck around. hypo sometimes but funny

Claudia took this photo and previous one

Marseille. Marseille, Marseille, Marseille! Marseille had beaten PSG that day

hard at work on their last night of work at Reilley's

Bree, Steve, Ivy, Lan, me and Kenny

Bree and I dancing to the Final Countdown. one of best dance songs... ever!
our trademark dance off song here at Reilly's

Ivy and Steve... and some lights

for Jez and Tim's farewell we had a Paca (local second hand clothes market) party. here we are in our great outfits. Jez, me, Tim, Shaun and Kenny. paid aboit 6 quetzales for my outfit (or about $1 australian). outside Irish bar where i work in Antigua

to promote the party we hired a horse and cart, got an esky full of beer and rode around Antigua in our fancy dress costumes telling people about it. here is one of the famous Guatemala chicken buses, full of colour.

Jez, Shaun and Oriane and our driver behind them. he fell asleep at one stage, no idea how as we were loud the whole time

Tim, Kenny and I... and the esky at bottom

the five again. not posing obviously

the view towards the arc and volcan Agua from Reilly's on the day. great cloud over the volcano

the Luna de Miel. french creperie where i spend a bit of time everyday. actually, it's probably the first place i go by every single day in Antigua after leaving my place. run by Edouard. and on the back wall you can see the Barbas Amarillas flag, our footbal team.

the other five

Maria, Maro, Jeff and Jez... w/ Henrik at back

Fardusa who also works w/ us

Edouard turned up w/ watermelons in his top so Tim had to have a go

Martyn and Jeff the dutchies

Julia, Amilia, Ally and me

the crew

and the bar is a-dancin'. that be Oriane, Maria and Giovani on top of tables

w/ Carlos a local Guatemalan artist, amazing artist, who we have also been teaching Aussie slang to.

swapped tops and smile or point to the camera

and the party goes on after the bar closes

another night another after bar drinks at someones place. on the way to Shaun's this time. that is Botran XL rum in Tim's hand... cheap, average local white rum

trying to fit Oriane, Martyn, Maria, Jeff and Tim into Jeff's scooter. didn't get far like that
