gratefull daddies last session

my 11th sketchbook... i like it. hope you do to

yes, i bought 'Amelie'. this is the view from the couch of our tv and fridge

the circus really was in town. my legs had quite a few bruises and scratches from football

after watching 'mirrormask' i got inspired to do a new specials menu at Luna de Miel (a friends creperie). do yourself a favour and watch 'mirrormask'

i like girls ;)

quiet days bring a lot of movies. 'Harold and Maude' is another amazing film. one of the best i'd say. seen it four or five times in last two weeks.

victoria, my beer of choice. oh yeah. we played our last (ever maybe) Barbas Amarillas game. i scored the last goal for the team.
another last voyage to Frank's land. Kenny and I stayed overnight. and the 'grateful daddies' (me, Kenny and Frank) recorded four songs that night.
'milkshake', 'bad, bad, girl', 'girls in tricky situations' and 'punk rock song'
will try and get some up... somewhere.

but first the sun had to go down... so we watched it...

... just relaxed...

... and watched it...

... for a long while as the lights in the towns below slowly came on.

La Antigua

so relaxing that Kenny and I practiced our own brand of tai-chi.

Antigua lights up as do the lights downstairs

Frank on the harp

mine and Anna's shadow on the wall

yeah. oh yeah!

Kenny and Anna w/ shadow

the lights. yes the lights are beaming down on us.

my fingers were bleeding for my art. from the guitar, harp and ukulele which i used for the first three tracks and practice so i played the harmonica for 'punk rock song'.

Manuela from the family that lives on the property and Kenny looking every inch the rockstar

a bit of relaxing by the fire w/ beer in hand

showing my moves as we play chess late at night after sauna, beer, music and writing and illustrating stories.

kenny's chess moves. he was the angels pitting his forces against my skeletons led my Maximon.

next days work on my book. funnily enough no song we recorded actually used either of the stand-up basses.

got two guatemala t-shirts. both have exactly the same quetzal, but one w/ Tikal on background while other has Atitlan.

birthdays come and go... always

so tomorrow (may 29th) marks one year since i left Australia on this trip... who'd have thunk it.

" i wear my sunglasses at night
so i can, so i can
keep track of the visions in my eyes"
