semana santa

up to semana santa (easter) and a bit before and after. good times, good times...

w/ Charley after a Barbas Amarillas game

was bored one day during day shift at work. from a local newspaper while the c#nt was in Guatemala

went and saw my first live music show in a long, long while. Mystere Trio from France played here in La Antigua in front of this old church building. tres cool.

blue light this time

there were these two kids playing in front of a spotlight. creating great shadows on church wall

group of three guys from Mackay in Queensland came into town for a few weeks. had some funny times w/ them. here is Rohan trying to drink a full litre... took him a little while but a great effort. had nine Australians that day trying to do a pub crawl... made it to three pubs.

a chicken bus named Patricia (my sisters name)

Bree and Manuela playing up at Franks land. she's from family who live there. will be having a joint birthday party for them two next week. happy times.

an alfombra... looks cool but there were better ones in night and day. this thursday night we stayed up till after sunrise as streets were full of people arranging new ones, processions going by and all sorts of revelry. nice.

hundreds of these purple people around.

(ribena berries)

here comes the smoke

see. i told you

displays like this one were carried all over town. many different ones.

chess at Franks again

an alfombra by Franks place. can't remember what that town is called. on one of hills over La Antigua

Ronaldo and his sister arranging one of the alfombras. photos by Bree by the way... on my camera

Ronaldo again

at the market

w/ Fiona

really like this photo of Fiona.

at the back of a church. old ruins

same place different setting on camera... mmm... sepia

Kenny dofound that shirt in the second-hand clothes market. score

streets after processions. liked this look

Jennifer and Leti again. another drawing session day at work w/ them two. brighten up my day at work when they come by and hang out. such cool little girls.

see how cool!

a photo of Kenny, Shaun and I w/ the trophy. took the photo for a magazine who are publishing an article on the Barbas Amarillas. came out two days ago the magazine... Kenny and i modified the pic a bit for publishing. to something like this...

Shaun is Welsh so we gave him the Rushie mo and liverpool shirt

Barbas Amarillas

just some variuos photos from last little while. i have a new tattoo... no photos here yet

the chessboard floor at Franks land. we play skeletons versus angels

a loom also up at Franks land

and another great sunset from there

going through the Paca (local second hand clothes market) we found this wig

Oriane and I strolling through Antiguas cobblestoned streets

those same streets

and the sun sets behind Orianes sunglasses

we get some amazing skies sometimes. this one was just stunning

the Barbas Amarillas (a five a side football team i play in) getting ready for a match

the team. top: Howard (USA), Kenny (Melbourne), Charlie (Guatemala), Shaun (Wales)
Edouard (France), Sam (USA), me (Sydney) and Carias (El Salvador) also Marvin not in picture for some reason
we had plenty of dodgy decisions against us by the ref as we are the only non Guatemala team in the competition but made it to the final (this photo was after the semi final) where we lost 4-6 unfortunately. quite happy w/ the second place though which is the best this team has done in four seasons (my first)
