Mexico City
so i'm now in San Cristobal de las Casas in Mexico. have travelled for hopur upon hour along this lovely land since the last update. for now only adding the Mexico City part as it would take to long to add much more. started my second sketchbook... missing the opffcolour pages of first but it will do.
just before we left Ojai, California to go to Mexico
Katie, Chad, Lauren and me. (thanks Simon and everyone back home)
first page on my new book. is nice!
so my second night in Mexico city Chad and I and a few others went to the lucha libre. it was great fun. luckily we were standing right next to some spectators who were super prepared and into it.
on the saturday we went and saw the Dandy Warhols and the Strokesin an 18000 filled arena. it was amazing. saw the show from the crowd then during the Lou Reed cover on encore by trhe strokes we went to the sidestage to watch the end w/ Zia, Courtney, Pete Brent (from Dandy's) and a few others. was great when Julian walked and sang in front of sidestage so you couyld see what he was seeing. wow!
at after party for the Dandy Warhols show. just hung out and chatted (trading jokes w/ Highway who is a champ for quite a while. that be Courtney and bass player from Strokes.and Fathead blurred on left.
my atempt at a quick sketch of view from show
me and Anna serenading Becka, from Minneapolis, a great girl we met in Mexico City.

Really cool stuff, DB. You're really finding your groove. South America obviously agrees with you.
Can't wait until you sign your book deal with your travel art and notes... can't be too far away!
And don't forget to let me know if you're going to Bolivia because my friends Ben, Luke and Paul all live there, and you could crash with them for a while. Actually, they'd be a good fit for what you're doing work-wise because they have Austrade grants for their new company which is villager-based.
